Change Course Proposal
WGSS 270 RESISTING GENDER VIOLENCE

Status: Draft

Proposal

Proposal ID: 101973
Type: Change Course
Effective Term: Spring 2018
Justification:
The original title of this course "Violence Against Women" does not capture the objectives of the class. The course addresses a variety of forms of violence against gendered individuals and not only "women." The new title reflects the breadth of focus of the course on violence against cisgender women and men, trans individuals, and those resisting contemporary gender categories. In addition, the new title "Resisting Gender Violence" emphasizes the ways the course explores strategies for resistance and change.
