Change Course Proposal
WGSS 414 *SYSTEMS OF OPPRESSION

Status: Draft

Proposal

Proposal ID: 101976
Type: Change Course
Effective Term: Spring 2018
Justification:
The original course title "Systems of Oppression in Women's Lives" no longer describes the broader focus of the class. Given changes in the discipline away from fixed notions of of "woman," the course not only addresses these issues as they pertain to women, but also those who position themselves in various ways vis-a-vis gender categories. Simplifying the title to "Systems of Oppression" better describes course objectives.
