Thanks Adam! Below are revisions needed on the syllabus. Here are some notes that will help the proposal get through the levels to come. -Kryn
The reviewer identified the following issues that should be addressed in the resubmission.
In some cases, a resubmission may instead include a rationale for why the reviewer's comment does not need to be addressed.
-You can take out the duplicate Learning Outcomes for the graduate students. Under graduate students just list the additional outcomes.
-In the syllabus, please indicate how each student learning outcome (SLO) is measured/assessed by one or more assignments named in the syllabus.
For example, "SLO1: Critiques models of...; Assessment of SLO1: Quiz 1; Final paper." A table may be useful.
-In the syllabus, please indicate how percentages and final grades align (e.g., 94-100% = A). A table may be useful. You should remove the link; it will be confusing to students since it takes them to Alternate Grading options.
-In the syllabus, please indicate whether the learning resources are required.
-Are there additional assignments for graduate students? If so, indicate clearly. If not, indicate how the assignments will be graded for the graduate level students.
-Student conduct link needs to be updated. USE: http://studentlife.oregonstate.edu/sites/studentlife.oregonstate.edu/files/code_of_student_conduct.pdf

Proposal

Proposal ID: 102040
Type: Change Course
Effective Term: Summer 2018
Justification:
To facilitate multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary instruction, each participating unit (WLC, PS, ES) will share in the development and teaching of the course.
Comments:
As per Betjemann's comments, we are submitting the course change proposal to remove cross-listed ENG. The ENG instructor to this course is no longer at our university. Instead, ES will be substituted, to represent the expertise of the course's new co-instructor (Mize).

Fine with us - the faculty member in SWLF who was previously involved in this course has moved to a different institution, and therefore this course should no longer have an ENG designator.

Updated
One of two courses that comprise the Cuba Study Abroad Program. It introduces students to Cuban culture, politics (and particularly Cuba-U.S. relations during and after the Revolution) and arts via a combination of lectures/lessons led by invited specialists, readings, films and student activities. Students will learn about a variety of topics including migration, agriculture, health care, education, economics, religion/spirituality, gender, race, and the arts (literature, music and other performance). Given the interdisciplinary approach to this course, students will also be able to focus on other topics of interest to them/their program of study.
