The CLA curriculum committee requests the following changes to the syllabus submitted with this proposal:

1) Satisfy reviewers upstream by stating the number of hours the class meets per week rather than just listing class meeting times

2) Indicate whether the textbook listed is required.

3) Update the link to the academic honesty web page

Thank you!

1. Please complete the section in Course Info on Courses Taught Schedule. MyDegrees requires that each course show which term, and how often per year, the course will be taught.
2. Please shorten the catalog course description in Course Info according to the policy on Course Description: http://oregonstate.edu/admin/aa/apaa/academic-programs/curriculum/curricular-policies-and-procedures#73.

The courses taught schedule has been revised to include the requested information, and the (admittedly much too wordy) catalog description has been significantly shortened.

Mark Edwards -
This proposed course does not appear to impact our faculty or students directly or indirectly. On some occasions I could imagine students wishing to ask Sociology faculty for advice on projects. Sociology majors and minors who also major or minor in NMC would benefit from this course.
